On special trailer tires and light truck tires the Load Range B means it is a 4-ply rated tire with a maximum load of 1,430 lbs. at 35 p.s.i. A Load Range C means a 6-ply rated tire with a maximum load of 1,760 lbs. at 50 p.s.i.

On the Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM1ST86, it is a Load Range C tire. That maximum load rating of 1,760 is per tire, so two tires on the same axle would hold 3,520 lbs. at 50 p.s.i.

The load range will always be stamped on the sidewall of the tire.

Another important thing to remember is to always use a tire designated ST (ST205/75D14), which means special trailer. That means the tire is designed for use on a trailer application. The sidewall and internal construction is designed to handle load and abuse better than a car tire.

The tire ratings are determined by the manufacturer when that tire is designed. It has to meet certain Department of Transportation guidelines to be rated as a certain ply tire and the maximum load for that tire.

I am sending a page link to some information on trailer tires.
