For the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 the bolts used to bolt the adapter to the pin box are 1/2 inch. This model, with the offset, must be bolted on. the regular straight one does not have to be bolted on but it can be.
