Can the sleeve on the 2 1/2 inch receiver be removed to make it a 2 inch receiver. Bought a new truck that has a 2 hitch. Thank you,

The sleeve of the # DTALBM6825 cannot be removed so that it can be installed in a 2 inch hitch. The problem is the hitch pin device sticks out too far.
You would need to go with the 2 inch hitch version part # DTALBM6800 instead.
