Question:
I purchased a used boat that has a non-operating Atwood Hydraulic Surge Brake System on the trailer. The Atwood manual that came with it doesnt have a model number on it. The manual has an effective date of 11-93 printed on the cover. On page 11 of the manual it has various replacement kit numbers of 85830, 85837, 87478, 85841, etc.. I would like to know what you would have available for replacing the complete Actuator rather than buying all of the replacement kits?

Based on the replacement numbers you mentioned, you have an Atwood part number 82541.
To replace it I recommend the Titan, part # T63FR. It has a higher capacity at 7,500 pounds and still fits a 2 inch hitch ball. It's also a bolt on and includes a manual lockout.
I have attached a link to a product review video you can check out.
