Availability of Gooseneck Hitch for a 1982 Jeep Scrambler
Question:
I have a 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler. This is a pickup style vehicle and has tons of space under the bed for a Gooseneck hitch assy. Can you fabricate something for me to use as I dont see anything available. I am reluctant to purchase the hardware and build my own mounts as I dont want to purchase something that wont fit or work and waste my money. I have a chev 350 and auto trans. I want to pull a 18foot gooseneck travel trailer.

The only universal fit gooseneck we offer that could work would be the Curt # C65500. We have no fit info for your vehicle or this hitch, but if you are confident a gooseneck could be installed and used this would be your best option.
This has dimensions of 48 inch wide by 13 inches in length with a thickness of 3/8 inch.
