How Easy is it to Remove Swagman Around-the-Spare-Tire Deluxe Bike Rack # S80501
Question:
How easy is it to take the unit off the trailer? I measured the height over the propane tanks, and my bunk door just clears the propane cover when opened. That means I have to remove the bike bunk to set up camp, and put it back to leave, in addition to ordinary bikes.

Installing and removing the Swagman Around-the-Spare-Tire Deluxe Rack, part # S80501 is a breeze. The bike rack is designed so that a spare tire can remain bolted to your rear bumper while bolting this bike rack around it.
The bike rack is attached to your bumper by U bolts. Once the bike rack is on, the spare tire sits between the two uprights. To remove the spare tire, once the bike rack is bolted to the bumper, you'll remove the locking pins located on the lower section of the uprights. With these two pins removed you'll be able to lift the upper half of the bike rack off, allowing you access to your spare tire. To completely remove the bike rack, just undo the U bolts.
I have included a video which shows how to install the bike rack around a spare tire.
