I have a 2015 ford f150 with 5 1/2 bed and a pull right 12k super glide hitch you know which mounting kit is needed for this truck so that I can continue to use the hitch that I have? Thanks for your help.

If your Pullright SuperGlide hitch is the ISR model that fits in industry standard above the bed rails then you can use installation kit # RP50087-58. But if it is a model that fits in a below the bed kit then we will not have an option and you would have to check with Pullrite.

But there is a bigger issue. The Pullrite hitch is not going to have enough travel for you to be able to make tight turns without hitting the truck and the trailer together. Also, the tailgate will have to be removed on your 2015 Ford F-150 to avoid contact between trailer pin box and the tailgate.

What you will need is a fixed hitch, not a slider, and then a Sidewinder pin box on the trailer. The Sidewinders move the trailer pivot point back 22 inches. I know the SuperGlide travels fairly far but I don't think it is 22 inches.

But Sidewinders only fit certain pin boxes. I would need to know the manufacture and model of the pin box to determine if there is a Sidewinder that will fit. This information is usually on a sticker or plate on the pin box itself.

If you do have a pin box that is compatible then for a hitch you could use the Reese 16K # RP30047. With the hitch installed the center line of the hitch should be approximately 1 inch or so forward of the center of the rear axle. Measure from that point to the back of the truck cab and add 22 inches for the Sidewinder. Then measure the width of the front of the trailer and divide by 2 to get half.

The hitch center line to cab measurement plus 22 inches needs to be at least 4 inches more than half the width of the trailer to be able to make 90 degree turns safely with no interference. I have included a link to our help article on Sidewinders for you.
