Will the Thule Helium Aero Bike Carrier Fit a 2012 Volkswagen Eos with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch

Yes, the Thule Helium Aero, # TH9042PRO, will fit your 2012 Volkswagen Eos with Draw-Tite Class I trailer Hitch. The Carrier measures 14-3/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright mast. The locking knob is closer but it is at an angle and the bottom rear of the vehicle tapers so that would not be an issue.

Trailer hitches for your 2012 Volkswagen Eos, including Draw-Tite Class I hitch # 24824, are recessed pretty far under the rear of the vehicle. I have linked a video showing installation on a 2008 Eos. On that vehicle it measures 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper. Based on all of this information the Helium Aero and Draw-Tite hitch are great options for your Eos.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005.
