just purchased a new f 350 with ford factory 5th wheel hitch provisions. the truck is a 2016, can you help me with what hitch would fit.

For your 2016 Ford F-350 short bed with the factory hitch prep package you would want the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide part # DM8550038. This has been confirmed to fit the rail kit of your truck and will automatically slide back when you are in a tight turn to give you clearance.
Since you have a short bed truck you would need a slider hitch so that you can make tight turns. Most slider hitches require manual activation of the slider which can be somewhat of a hassle. This hitch slides automatically so it would be a great option.
