Thule offers a similar product that would be compatible with your truck. The Thule Bed Rider 2, part # TH822XTR fits truck beds from 47-3/4 to 70 inches in width.
The Swagman # S64702 trunk bed bike rack fits truck beds that measure between 52-69 inches in width. My research indicates that the bed of a 2004 Silverado stepside is 49-1/16 inches wide when measured between the bed sides. If that's the case with your truck, the # S64702 Swagman rack wouldn't fit.
