Recommended Fifth Wheel Hitch for a 2012 Ford F-250 Short Bed
Question:
I currently have a 2012 Super Duty F-250 with a short box. The hitch I have is a Valley 16K Pull Max. I would like to replace it with a Curt Q20 #16536. I am hoping to use the same rails that are in the truck. Is this possible? Also, would you recommend another hitch other than the Q20?

The Curt Q20 fifth wheel hitch with slider part # C16536 that you are interested in is an excellent slider hitch for your 2012 Ford F-250 with a short bed. This hitch will fit the rails you have in the bed of your truck currently.
The only hitch I would recommend over the Curt would be the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide part # DM8550034. What's great about this hitch is that it will automatically slide when you make turns so that you can avoid the hassle of having to operate a manual slider everytime you enter a parking lot.
