Tow Bar Wiring Recommendation For 2014 Honda CR-V

Question:

Great video on installing the BX2258 Baseplate. Ill also need to add a break light wiring system for my 2014 Honda CR-V. Do you know of a video for that? Im considering the kit with the diodes.. unless you suggest the one that goes back to the rear lights.

I have attached a link to an installation video for the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154 on a 2014 CR-V as you requested. Everything is included in the kit to connect the tail lights on your Honda. I have attached a couple drawings that show how the wiring is run you can check out.

If you have a 7-way connector at the back of your towing vehicle or RV I recommend using an adapter like part # PK12716. This plugs into the 7-way on your towing vehicle and then gives you a 4-way connector to plug the tail light wiring harness into. If you have a different configuration plug at the back of your towing vehicle let me know and I can make a recommendation that will work for you.

You need 5 items when you are flat-towing. You need base plates like the # BX2258 you mentioned, a tow bar like # BX7380 with safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, like # RM-154, and most states now require a supplemental brake system. If you do not have the other items needed for flat-towing your CR-V let me know and I can make recommendations that will work.

I have attached links to some of the products that will work well with your CR-V.
