Looking for a low cost ,good tractor utility flood light for nighttime snow plowing or digging. Which lights would your recommend?

If you want the highest light output for a given power input, then I suggest you go with LED-type lighting. LED lights will cost more up front, but they provide roughly 10-times the efficiency of standard incandescent lights, generate less heat and they avoid the need to keep replacement bulbs on hand. The linked page will show you all types and styles of utility lights and you can click on the filters on the page to select the shape, mounting method and bulb type you prefer. You can also sort the results based on size and brand if you have specific preferences.

For example, if you want an easily-installed LED flood light you might consider the Wesbar LED Utility Light with Magnetic Base # 54209-018. This light includes a 12V power plug, 10 LEDS for a total output of 800 lumens and a powerful magnet in its base to hold it securely. If you prefer a cost-effective stud-mount incandescent light you might use Peterson # 507-12 which grounds through its mounting hardware. This light delivers 3000 candle power, or about 37,000 lumens.
