Will Truck Bed Camper Battery Charge From Vehicles Battery via 7-way Connector

The power cord to the Camper Is connected to the 7 way connector on the back of the truck. no where else does it go or connect This powers the vehicle lights on the camper and supplies voltage to the camper. I can tell this because the red light above the battery disconnect switch in the camper comes on when the power cord/7 way connector is attached. As stated in a previous reply, the number 1 wire at 1:00 Oclock is hot according to my ohm meter12v. original question had to do with did the fact that the voltage from the truck being connected to the camper create a problem of running down the truck battery when parked and the truck is not running? Is the camper battery being charged when driving the truck? Does my unit need to be rewired and a battery separator installed? When attaching an external 110v supply line to the Camper the Camper systems come on and of course the rectifier is powered. the red light aforementioned comes on indicating the battery 12 volt system is operating. Likewise when the power cord/7 way connector from the truck is attached to the camper the red light comes on and the electrical system is operational.

The vehicle battery will only provide a maintenance charge to the camper battery. It will not increase the camper battery charge level. When the camper connector is plugged into the vehicle, the vehicle's battery is supplying power to the camper, but it is not charging the camper's battery. The indicator light is likely coming on because of the power supply, not because of a charge.

If you want to keep the camper plugged into the vehicle while the truck is off, I do recommend installing a battery isolator, like the Tow Ready Battery Isolation Solenoid # TR118665, so as to not run down the truck's battery. I have attached an installation and review video of this solenoid for you.
