Hi. I have a 2001 Tacoma with a ball hitch mounted on the bumper just under the license plate. I do not have a receiver hitch. Could the DTA944-968-924 be attached to this or would I need to install a proper receiver hitch? Thanks

The Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier with Hitch Mounted Load Extender and Single-Bar Roof Rack # DTA944-968-924 will not work with a bumper-mounted hitch ball. To install the load extender, you will need a trailer hitch with a receiver.
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III # 13013. This trailer hitch will provide you with a 2 inch hitch receiver perfect for the Darby Extend-A-Truck. No welding or drilling is required to install the hitch.
