Can a Demco Hijack Connect/Disconnect from Trailer On Unlevel Ground

Question:

With this hitch how easy is it to remove the 5th wheel if youre not level.? Our drive slopes downward with our current hitch we can use a mallet to get it to pull the handle out to unlock.

Having your trailer sit as level as possible will allow fifth wheel trailer connecting and disconnecting to happen as easily as possible regardless of which hitch you go with.

The Demco Hijacker part # DM8550038 does have a double pivoting head so that will reduce some tension to allow a trailer to disconnect on unlevel ground, but it really just depends on how unlevel the trailer is.

If at all possible I would recommend you find a more level area to use.
