Can the TorkLift SuperTruss Extension be Used on a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 with Factory Trailer Hitch

Question:

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 HD quad cab with Northern Lite Camper. Can the TLW 1548 extension be used with the factory hitch. I will towing a 5X8 Continental cargo Trailer. Trailer load will be 500 lbs +=.

The SuperTruss extension # TLE1548 is designed to work with TorkLift SuperHitch trailer hitches only. You can add one to your 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 using # TLD1102. Then you would be able to use the extension. With this set up the extension will have a tongue weight capacity of 600 pounds.

How much extension do you need? If you do not need 48 inches then there could be some other options that would not require the addition of a SuperHitch.
