Question:
Im considering upgading my 2014 Cougar High Country 321RES dual 5200lb axles tow-behind trailer to electric-hydraulic brakes. My tow vehicle is a 2014 Ram 3500 dually Cummins Ive been trying to compare the various hydraulic brake pumps from performance / reliability / serviceability perspectives but have found little information comparing Titan, Hydrastar and Dexter.....can you make a recommendation based on that criteria? Secondly, I plan on running rigid metal brake lines except where connecting to the brake disc cylinders... do you offer a kit and if so, is the kit pump and/ or brake cylinder dependent? If no kit, how do I determine the brake line and fitting sizes / threads in advance of receiving the pump / brake components for my trailer? Thanks in advance,

We prefer the Hydrastar Actuator part # HBA16 as it is the most reliable and works the best. This would be the best option for your trailer. We have the least amount of issues with this actuator and it is the one our installers like the most so we recommend it the highest.
For a tandem axle brake line kit that uses rigid lines except for the lines that attach to the assemblies you would want the part # DM5425.
Or if you wanted a kit that has the lines, a breakaway kit, and the actuator you would just want the part # CAR-HBA16-2.
