Question:
I presently have a 20K Reese 5th wheel hitch on my 2010 GMC 2500HD. I am buying a 2016 GMC 2500HD and want to re-install my old Reese in my new truck using my old bed rails which are 43inch long. I think I need to buy a new Custom Bracket Install kit, RP50066 to make this work. Is this the correct product? Thank you.

Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit # RP50066 is the correct part you need to install your exiting 5th wheel base rails in your new 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. This kit consists of under-bed brackets and their installation hardware. For installing your base rails to the brackets you can use hardware kit # RP58430.
For a wiring harness you can use part # 50-97-410 from Bargman. This plugs right in at the factory 7-way (which remains active) and provides a bed-mounted 7-way for the 5th wheel.
