Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a Trailer

I want to go 7 way on traler I just went 7 way on truck but I did it with a wish bone kit . HELP

So you have added a 7-Way trailer connector to your truck and now you want to add one to the trailer. There are a couple of options that you could employ. First, you could just use a 7-Way trailer connector only such as # PK12706, no wiring, and attach the wires from the old connector and the new wires as needed.
Or you could use one that has a wire lead coming out of the back of it such as # H20043 (wire functions listed on its product page).
You could also use # HS381-9000 which comes with a 7-Way trailer connector, 1 Wiring junction box with mounting hardware, 8 Ring terminals for 12- to 10-gauge wire, 8 Ring terminals for 16- to 14-gauge wire, 10' Wire loom, and 1 Self-tapping ground screw. The only other thing needed is some wire # 10-2-1 for the brakes and # 10-1-1 or # 12-1-1 for power. The wiring is sold by the foot.
To help with this installation I have included a link to our help article on trailer wiring. Your trailer wire colors may be different so you have to wire in the new connector by function. To determine the functions of the wires there are a couple of things you can do. First, you could trace each wire back and see where it ends. If that is not possible you could touch each of the wires to the positive side of a 12 volt battery and see what lights up then label the wires accordingly.
