5th Wheel Slider Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Ram 2500 with Factory Prep Package

Hello, I currently have a 2014 dodge 2500 short bed. I am wanting to have the factory 5th wheel prep package installed in my bed and be able to purchase a good quality slider hitch for a camper that was approx. 12000lbs what recommendations do you have?

For your 2014 Ram 2500 short bed with the factory 5th wheel prep package I recommend a Demco HiJacker hitch using # DM8550034 with factory rail adapter # DM6099.
The Demco hitch is rated for 18,000 pounds and has 14 inches of travel for clearance when making tight turns. But the feature that I like the most is that it slides automatically. No need to get in and out of the truck to slide back the hitch! I have included a link to a video review of this hitch for you.
I also recommend adding an in-bed 7-Way trailer connector, # 41157, to make hooking up the trailer easier. I included a link to a video showing an example installation for you.
