Does Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack Have A Theft Deterrent
Question:
Considering a truck rack. Such as 2006 Ford F-150 Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack. But these are just held by bolts. What is to stop someone from stealing my expensive rack right off my truck ?

Expert Reply:
There are 4 brackets that are used on each side of the truck bed when installing the Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack, part # DZ951600.
Although it is not a system that employs locks to secure it, removing the rack from a truck would take a bit of time and that would actually be a deterrence. We have not had anyone contact us saying the rack was stolen from their truck, but if a thief is determined enough, they would manage to do so.
