Question:
I am about to purchase a 2016 Ford F250 with 6 1/2foot bed and am trying to determine if I should buy the Ford Gooseneck Prep kit or have a BandW kit installed later. The Ford site has a vague note that says their prep kit Reese will not work with a 6 1/2foot bed but I do not see anything on your site stating that. Does Reese offer a ball offset that allows it use on 6 1/2foot beds similar to the BandW 4inch offset. Do you have a comparison of the Reese vs BandW hitches that discusses quality, warranty, etc.? Thank You

Reese and B and W are considered the two industry leaders in the gooseneck and fifth wheel world. There seems to be a never-ending debate on which is the better of the two. Either would work well for you in terms of quality, but for what you are specifically looking for the B and W route would be better since there is an offset adapter available for the gooseneck hitch ball, part # BWGNXA4085.
The correct gooseneck hitch part number for your vehicle would then be the part # BWGNRK1111-5W. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.
If you ever wanted to tow a fifth wheel hitch all you would need is the Companion Slider part # BWRVK3400-5W as it will fit right into the gooseneck ball hole of the rail kit I recommended.
