Question:
Hi, folks...a few months ago I purchased a hitch from you for my 2009 Honda Fit. Thanks to your online video and email help the installation was a snap, and Ive been using a Thule Helium bike rack. Id like to switch now to a 2-bike platform rack, such at the Kuat Transfer. Any problem using this or another similar rack on my car? Thanks...

Great news! The Kuat Transfer # KU74FR would be a great rack for your 2009 Honda Fit.
One thing you will want to keep in mind when looking at platform bike racks for your Fit is your Class I Draw-Tite hitch # 24826 pin hole to bumper distance and its weight capacity.
The distance from the hitch pin hole out to clear the rear-most part of the bumper is approximately 4 inches. This makes the Kuat Transfer # KU74FR a great choice because, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the carrier is 6 inches.
The weight capacity of your hitch is 200lbs tongue weight. You will want to check what your GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of your vehicle is because you will be limited by the lowest rated one when loading your vehicle.
Using the Kuat Transfer as an example let's assume that your limited by your hitch. 200lbs (TW) - 47lbs (weight of # KU74FR) - 80lbs (max weight combined of 2 bikes on rack) = 73lbs left over. This shows that you are well within your capacity with the Kuat Transfer.
I have linked a review video of the Kuat rack as well as a link to the other Class I 1-1/4 inch platform bike racks for your convenience.
