Both Yakima and Thule have a wide selection of trunk mount bike racks that are compatible with your 2006 VoIkswagen Jetta.
For a Yakima bike rack, the Yakima SuperJoe Pro 2, part # Y02629, would be a good option. This is one of the best trunk bike racks Yakima offers. It carries 2 bikes and has a weight capacity of 60 lbs. This rack features anti-sway cradles to keep your bikes in place and minimize movement.
For a Thule bike rack, I would recommend the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH45J. This rack attaches with only 2 rubber coated straps instead of the standard 4-6 straps of others so installs quicker than any other trunk mount rack. It can also be locked to the vehicle and the bikes locked to the rack.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
