Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring on a 2013 Ford C-Max 119190KIT

I purchased a trailer wire kit for my 2013 Ford C-Max The lights work fine the directionals and hazard lights work... But no break lights... I grounded the red wire as instructed. Any ideas?

It sounds like it may be wired incorrectly. According to my information your vehicle has multiplexed wiring with combined circuits. Per the instructions, which I've included the snip of where it states, that you would need to test the wiring to determine which multiplex you have BT or BTT.

I would recommend using the included tester to identify which system you have because BT will not use the brown wire and the BTT will not use the brown and red.
