Question:
We are a manufacturer of a mobile hydraulic lift and are designing a tow-behind model incorporating axle-less tandem wheels into our frame requiring a load capacity of about 10,000 pounds. Do you have components of that capacity?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A tow-behind hydraulic lift is going to need to be stable so I recommend using a tandem axle set up just like you mentioned. That would equate to using 2 sets of Timbren Axle-Less systems rated for 5,200 pounds for a total capacity of 10,400 pounds.
We have a couple of options in this capacity: # ASR5200S01 has regular spindles; no rise or drop, and # ASR5200S04 has a 4 inch drop spindle meaning that it will lower the trailer by 4 inches.
For a hub and drum assembly that will fit these systems I recommend # 8-201-5UC3-EZ and if you don't want to have brakes then the idler hub that will fit is # 8-213-5UC1-EZ. Both have the 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.
If you choose to have brakes then you can use # AKEBRK-6R for the light and # AKEBRK-6L for the left.
