Tire Recommendation for a Utility Trailer that has 235/75-15 Vehicle Tires
Question:
Just purchased a used utility trailer and need to buy new tires. The single axle 1.75 inch trailer will haul my 500# smoker and maybe another 100# in supplies. currently it has auto tires 235 75 r15. I dont anticipate many highway miles on this trailer. What are your recommendations on replacement tires

Going with an ST rated trailer tire is going to be your best option. Passenger vehicle tires are not recommended for use on trailer as they are not designed for the additional vertical load that trailers normally experience.
The trailer tire size ST225/75-15 would be a very close size to what you have and would work great. The part # TTWTRTM2257515D would be the best recommendation I can make as it would work well and has an 81 mph speed rating unlike most trailer tires that are only rated at 65 mph.
