Question:
I have a 2016 Honda Odyssey. Does the XXL Force fit with clearance in the back on the factory rack? Thule says I need 41-7/8, when I measured I get 42. That is really close so I may or may not have any interference. Anyway you could do a video on a newer Odyssey, the video of the 2005 shows some interference with the rear hatch.

Thule does specify that for their Force Medium cargo box # TH6356B to fit on a car without having any contact between the rear hatch and the back of the box the vehicle front crossbar center point needs to be at least 41-7/8-inches from the roof/hatch seam.
Check to make sure that if your front bar is moveable that it is in its forward-most position on the roof and re-measure.
When push comes to shove since you are off by only one-eight-inch you could still use the box on the Odyssey. The 1/8-inch difference is within the margin of measurement error. Two different tape measures may give you different results!
Often customers that use rooftop cargo items also choose a tire step like the handy # HE4040. This step comes fully-assembled and simply slips over a rear tire when you need a little height advantage for loading and unloading your Thule box. It folds for storage. Another low-cost step option is the Telesteps step # TE97FR.
