Additional Step to Make Getting In and Out of 5th Wheel Trailer Easier
Question:
I would like to know what is the distance from the door of 5th wheel to the first step of the folding scissor step? The step on my 5th wheel at the present time has quite a gap and it is hard for me to get in or out of trailer due to bad knee.

Steps such as # AS24 are not designed for permanent installation on a 5th wheel trailer. These steps are meant to be removed/installed when needed and you normally see them on in-bed campers.
The other issue is that if you added permanent mount steps to your 5th wheel trailer the additional step could cause the whole assembly to hang too low and cause ground clearance problems while towing the trailer.
The best solution is a separate step that you can carry with you in the trailer or truck such as # S-150 or # SASXL-08C-Y.
