Question:
I have companion hitch ,1year old and it has became hard to open and close the jaws. I have lubed pivot lub. zuart but dont see anyway to lub the jaws outer then using a spray lob. like WD 40 , I used some but it hasnt freed them up. what do you recomened?

First, I do not recommend using WD40 or similar spray lubricants because they can attach dirt and debris and actually make the problem worse. Use a lithium grease (which is available in a spray) or chassis oil for moving parts that do not have a grease zerk fitting.
I checked with B&W and they say the following:
Grease jaws with automotive type chassis grease.
Grease the saddle through the grease zerk approximately every six months with mult-purpose grease. This allows the coupler to pivot freely.
