For the price of brake shoes compared to just buying new assemblies it makes sense to just order new assemblies since the price is very similar and you end up getting all new components and don't have to mess with trying to install the new shoes.
To pick out the correct brake assemblies for your trailer you need to know a few things.
You will want to measure the inner diameter of your hub/drums and the depth of the drums to determine what brake assembly dimensions you need. For example the part # 23-468 is a 10 inch by 2-1/4 inch thick brake assembly. The matching right hand side is part # 23-469.
You also want to determine what the bolt pattern is of your assembly mounting flange. The standard size is 4 on 4 inch. You also want to determine the axle capacity of your trailer and go with an assembly that has the same rating, the # 40716 has a 3,500 lb capacity.
If you find an assembly that matches the dimensions and capacity you need it would not matter what brand you use.
If you need a different assembly check out the link to the right that I attached that shows all of the different assemblies we carry. You can select from the left facets to narrow down which ones would work.
