Hitch Lock Recommendation for a B and W Companion Hitch

Question:

I am looking for padlocks for the champion fifth wheel hitch head. I purchased mine from you over a year ago and cant find padlocks for the head. I have padlocks for the base but not the head. Thanks for your time

I spoke with my contact at B&W and they do not have a specific locking pin for the head on the Companion hitch # BWRVK3600. So there are some options. You could replace one of the pins with Kuat lock # HL1. It is a 5/16 inch diameter so it would fit loose in the 3/8 hole. The span of the pin is 3-1/2 inches.

Or another option my contact suggested was to use a cable lock such as # 8419DPF.

I do not recommend using the lock or the cable while towing the trailer though. Use the regular pin when towing as the locks mentioned are not rated for use on a moving fifth wheel trailer.
