Question:
Hi there! I was considering a C13171, 2inch receiver for my 2014 Jeep Latitude and was wondering what the ground to hitch bottom clearance would be. Please let me know. Thanks!

Curt 2-inch Class III hitch # C13171 when installed on your 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude will sit so that the bottom of the receiver tube is approximately 9-1/4-inches above ground. This dimension will vary depending on passenger/cargo load, tire condition (brand new versus having 40K miles on them) and tire inflation pressure. I linked a helpful installation article and video to illustrate this hitch on a 2014 Cherokee.
If you plan to tow you'll also need a wiring harness # C56208 to operate the trailer lights. An install article for this wiring harness is also provided. A handy towing accessory is the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes 2 ball mounts, 2 hitch balls and a pin and clip.
