Can Trailer Wiring Harness be Routed and Mounted on the Outside of a 2015 Toyota Highlander

I ordered 118449 which gives me pig tale in the car. The toyota hitch is on the car want connector externally and how do I get it out of the car.

If you want the 4-Way end of wiring harness # 118449 to run through the interior of the vehicle and mount permanently to the outside of your 2015 Toyota Highlander then you will need to look for a grommet or access point in the cargo area of the vehicle. You may have to remove additional panels and flooring in the vehicle.
If there isn't a grommet or a way to route the wiring to the underside of the vehicle the only option would be to drill a hole, run the 4-Way end through it, and then seal up the hole with some silicone such as # 0160297.
Then you could mount bracket # 18144 with extension # C57202 or # 18140.
