Recommended Spacing for Yakima Q7 Clip on 2015 Chevrolet 2500HD Double Cab with Yakima Cargo Basket

Question:

Yakimas website states that bars should be 33inch apart but this would require an extension for the Loadwarrior system. Would it be ok to install the bars only 30inch apart on my naked roof? Q7 Clip Spacing on 2015 Chevy 2500HD Double Cab

The best solution for you if you already have the Loadwarrior is to purchase the extension # Y07074. If you haven't already settled on a roof rack then I would instead recommend the MegaWarrior # Y07080. This will save you a little bit of money compared to the LoadWarrior plus extension # Y07070-74 and fit your roof rack crossbar spread of 33 inches great.

I cannot recommend you move the placement of your Yakima Q clips for two reasons. The clamps will not fit properly on the roof and more importantly the capacity of the roof rack is based on the placement of the feet and crossbars.

I have linked the above mentioned parts to this page for your convenience.

I am looking for 4- Q7 clips for the Yakima Q-towers. I only need the clips themselves. I have everything else.

Unfortunately Yakima no longer makes the Q7 Clips and we don't have any available. If you're able to find something on the secondary market, the part you're looking for is 8000607. Otherwise you'll need to go with a new setup (but you should be able to keep your existing crossbars). If you can let me know what vehicle you have I would be happy to make specific recommendation.
