Repair Kit Recommendation for Sailboat Trailer with Hand Wheel Style Coupler

Question:

we have an old sailboat trailer with a welded hand wheel coupler which we think is for a 1 7/8inch ball. We are missing the clip that goes between the hand wheel and spring which prevents the hand wheel from unwinding. Would the clip from the Fulton repair kit F 520801 fit our available parts. The bolt that the hand wheel screws on to, appears to be 5/8 inch coarse thread. The bolt length is abit over 3 inch in length. Picture is enclosed.

From the picture you submitted I certainly looks like the latch on the part # F520801 would be the right part.

Just looking at the picture you have submitted it would appear as if you have a Fulton coupler that this kit would be designed to fit. The latch for the ball is identical so this would work well for you.
