Question:
Goose neck trailer owners have the same problem with short bed trucks. Can this be used for goose neck hitches ? If not then what comparable solution is there for goose neck trailers ?

A sliding 5th wheel hitch base like Curt # C16560 does provide more clearance for making tight turns with a 5th wheel trailer pulled by a short-bed truck. There is no equivalent slider in the gooseneck arena but we do offer a gooseneck coupler with offset which can provide more turning clearance between the truck cab and trailer.
For example, the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler # BWTEXA4200 fits standard 4-inch-diameter outer tubes and provides 10-inches of additional clearance between the cab and trailer. Please refer to the linked photo and video.
