Can Topline Fold Down Truck Bed Expander BX4004-02 Be Installed Over Spray-On Tailgate Liner

Im interested in purchasing the 2007 GMC Sierra Classic Fold Down Truck Bed Expander - Black but my concern is that my tailgate is sprayed with the Line-X protective coating. Would this still work and if so- would I need professional installation or could I DIY with standard drill bits?

The Topline Fold Down Truck Bed Expander # BX4004-02 will work fine on your 2007 GMC Sierra Classic that has a sprayed-on protective coating on the tailgate. These spray-on treatments will not cause any real changes to the installation (not the way drop-in liners do; which require trimming).
I linked an installation video for you showing this Topline extender being installed on a 2010 Sierra. The truck in the video has a tailgate cover which our installer removed to trim it, but you will not need to do this for your installation over your sprayed-on liner.
Just be sure to use drill bits suited for steel when you do your installation.
