High Capacity Trailer Hitch for a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 that Sits Tight to Rear Bumper
Question:
I need to switch out the factory receiver for a heavier Weight carrying model. The truck is rated for 7000lbs weight carrying, and 800lbs tongue. The current receiver is only good for 5000 lbs / 600 lb tongue. I wanted the BWHDRH25217, as it appears to sit up tight against the bumper. unfortunately you are out of stock. How tight does the Curt 14301 or the 15323 sit? Does the 14301 sit at the same height as the factory receiver? Do you happen to have drawings to show the vertical dimensions of the Curt receivers? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
The hitch opening of both Curt hitches you mentioned are going to sit right under the bumper of your 2013 Chevy Silverado. Check out the picture I attached that shows the # C15323 installed on a truck like yours. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
Be sure you don't exceed the towing capacity of your truck that is stated in the owners manual as well.
