Question:
I see most of the questions about the gooseneck extender involve P/U with short beds. I have standard bed GMC 2500 and a goose neck horse trailer. I currently use the 4inch ball extender in a B and W hitch but my trailer is still so close that I have to have the truck perfectly aligned to open the tail gate. If it i seven slightly jack knifed, the tail gate hits the spare tire or propane tanks. Is there any down side to this product on a full size bed truck??

The B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler # BWTEXA4200 will provide 10-inches of offset for better clearance between the truck and trailer. It sounds like you are using a B&W Offset ball like # BWGNXA4085 which gives you 4-inches of offset. It is okay to use these two items at the same time.
Since this Extend-A-Goose replaces a standard straight tube you will have little change to the trailer's handling, apart from the better clearance it provides.
