We currently have 6 transmission coolers that are recommended for your 1996 Ford F-250 with 7.3 liter diesel engine. I have included a link to them below. Even though the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit with Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V, # D13960, is not on that list, transmission coolers are not technically vehicle specific, so you could install it on your truck with the proper sized fittings.

The D13960 comes with -6 AN x 3/8 inch hose barb adapter and one of the recommended fitting kits for your truck comes with a 3/8 inch fitting (# D13014), so it could work, but there will be adapters connected to other adapters which is not an ideal set up.

Instead, I recommend using one of the recommended transmission coolers for your truck for the best fit. Depending on the fittings you have on your truck, you will either need kit # D13014 for snap-in (duckbill) trans-line type fittings, or kit # D13024 for 1/2 inch-20 partial thread fittings.
