Question:
I have a 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum with the factory tow package which includes the 7-wire harness. Where is the factory connection located on this vehicle to install a Prodigy Brake Controller Adapter? Is 3035-P the correct harness for my application? Is the vehicle plug by the steering wheel?

Expert Reply:
Brake controller wiring harness # 3035-P is indeed the correct part for your 2016 Ford Explorer with the factory 7-Way trailer connector and a Tekonsha brake controller such as the P3 # 90195.
On a 2016 Ford Explorer the brake controller port is located by the steering column near the steering wheel.
