Part C16411-204 has a note that drilling of frame required. Is this a universal hitch necessitating this or is it a custom hitch the doesnt require drilling the frame?

The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411-204 is a custom kit for your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The brackets and hardware are made for your truck so there is no drilling into the frame. The only drilling required is into the truck bed for the base rails.
