Will this Wiring Harness Work On A 2001 Honda CR-V Being Towed Behind A Motorhome

What wiring harness is needed to tow a 2001 Honda CRV behind my motorhome? I have a Roadmaster Stowmaster tow bar and a Roadmaster 1528-3 base plate.

The wiring harness you will need for your 2001 Honda CR-V to be towed behind your motor home is the RoadMaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154. On your 2001 Honda CR-V that has a 3-wire system (separate brake and turn signals) this wiring kit will use the vehicles brake lights to function as both brake and turn signals.

If you want to maintain separate brake and turn signals on your vehicle you will also need to add the Tow Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, # 118158, and 2 additional RoadMaster Hy-Power Diodes, # RM-792.

I am sending a video link to the RoadMaster wiring kit # RM-154 being installed on a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The vehicle is different but the wiring principle is the same.

You will also need the RoadMaster 68 Inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643, these safety cables will keep the vehicle attached to the tow vehicle in case the coupler becomes detached from the hitch ball.
