Curt Hitch Recommendation for 1988 Chevy C1500 Extended Cab

Question:

I have a 1988 Chevy C1500 extended-cab pickup. I previously ordered a hitch from a different vendor, and their website recommended the Curt 13028, which proved to be too narrow for my frame. So Im a little gunshy about ordering, when your website also recommends the C13028 along with the C14081. So will this hitch fit my truck, which I measure to have a 37inch frame spacing outside to outside?

The reason the part # 13028 didn't fit your 1988 Chevy C1500 is because it only fits crew cab model trucks and yours is an extended cab.

The # C14081 is going to fit your truck as it is designed to fit the extended cab models like yours.
