Fit and Compatibility of 2 Inch Trailer Hitch on a 2014 Jeep Compass Equipped w/1-1/4 Factory Hitch
Question:
Hi, I have a 2014 Jeep Compass that came with the 1 1/4 receiver. Id like to upgrade to a 2. Do they just bolt on to factory holes? Thanks!

I have good news for you! You are correct the 2 inch trailer hitch will use the factory already drilled bolt holes on your 2014 Jeep Compass to install the hitch.
I highly recommend the Draw-Tite # 75712, because you will not need to use a support strap # 18050 with any non-trailer load like you will with the Curt hitch.
It's important to note that you will need to remove the 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch before you can install the 2 inch hitch. Also the manufacture does require fascia trimming for hitch installation on your model Compass. I have linked the installation instructions to this page for you to reference.
I have linked the product and an installation video on a similar vehicle to this page for your viewing and purchasing convenience.
