Question:
My trailer is a tandem with standard round tube 5200 pound axles on 3500 pound leaf springs, carrying 5060 on one axle and 5340 on the other. Since the ride is fine with the leaf springs and Im over 5200 on one axle, I presume the 7K axle-less setup would work fine for me weight/capacity wise. If that is the case, are I-Beam 2.75inch wide installs possible without significant on-site fabrication?

For your current axle weights the 7k rated Timbren Kit part # TASR7KS01 would be what I would recommend for your trailer.
Installation on I-Beam trailer frames is possible but will require you to basically box off the open end of the frame where the system will install so that it has something to install on.
