The 2010 Nissan Xterra comes with either the factory roof rack with crossbars that run from side to side or the factory side rails that run front to back.

If your 2010 Nissan Xterra has the factory roof rack with crossbars the Thule Pulse Alpine Roof Cargo Box, # TH613 will not attach to the factory crossbars because of the thickness of the crossbars. None of the Thule roof cargo boxes will attach to the factory crossbars.

If your 2010 Nissan Xterra has the factory side rails that run front to back you can use the Thule SquareBar Roof Rack using parts # TH712100 and # TH710401, which will attach to your side rails and give you the crossbars needed to install the Thule Ascent cargo box, # TH602. It will also allow you to install any of the other Thule or Yakima roof cargo boxes.

Anytime you are going to haul cargo on the roof you will want to check the owners manual or Nissan dealer for what the roof capacity is for your 2010 Nissan Xterra.
