Will The Pollak 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket, # HM40975, Fit On A 2002 Chevy Silverado

Question:

Does this connector have the round poles on the four and seven way plugs and does it just plug into the connector that came from the factory on my 2002 silverado 1500 series?

You can use the Pollak 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket, # HM40975, if you are replacing an existing 7-way connector on the rear of your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the factory wiring harness is long enough to reach the bumper. This socket will plug into that factory wiring harness on the vehicle. It does not include the wiring harness.

If your factory plug is located above the spare tire and the factory wiring harness will not reach the rear bumper you will need the Hopkins Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connector, # 30955. This part number will include wiring that will reach the factory harness above the spare tire.

The Pollak connector and the Hopkins connector have round poles on the 4-way and flat blades on the 7-way connector. If your trailer has a 7 round plug you will need to use the Hopkins 7-way Blade to 7-way Round Pin Adapter, # 47595. This adapter will plug into your 7-way with flat blades on your vehicle and the other end will plug into the 7 round pin connector on your trailer.

I am sending video links to the installation of both the Pollak connector and the Hopkins connector on a Chevrolet vehicle.
